First Moroccan Cultural Week in Denmark

The Danish branch of the Moroccan Council in Scandinavia & Nordic Countries has organized the first Moroccan cultural week in Denmark. The exhibition contains more than 20 traditional handmade articles a rustic costumes, wood and sculpture, silver products, carpets and as well specialists in authentic Moroccan cooking. All this will be accompanied by music from the 30th of June to the 10th of July.

Anwar Touimi, the chairman of the Danish branch to the Moroccan Council in Scandinavia & Nordic Countries, who oversees the initiative, said that: “This event, organized in cooperation with many partners, is the first of its kind in this Scandinavian country and falls within the framework of celebrating the anniversary. 250 years to establish diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Denmark.

Furthermore, he said that it’s one of our goals in the Moroccan Council in Scandinavia & Nordic Countries to help highlight the diversity and richness of Moroccan culture, to radiate the civilization of the Kingdom, which is thousands of years old and its ability to adapt trough different area and times, to share the flavors and aromas of Moroccan cuisine, which is renowned internationally, and to show the hospitality and friendliness of the Moroccan people.
